Before booking tickets for St. Augustine Amphitheatre, it’s a good idea to review the seating chart. There are just under 5,000 seats to choose from, spread across four areas. Each offers a unique vantage point of the main stage.

Pit seating

The pit area is closest to the stage, providing an up close and personal experience with performers. Guests can choose between the seated pit and the standing pit, depending on whether they want to relax or dance the night away. Both sections have a capacity of just over 600 people, with 20 accessible seats in each. Best of all, the whole area is covered by a weather-proof canopy, so there’s no need to worry about getting wet. Despite being called the Sunshine State, Florida is actually one of the wettest regions in the USA. Surprisingly, given its proximity to the main stage, the pit is reasonably priced. Some people prefer to be a little further away from the moshing!

Lower level

Lower level tickets are hugely popular because they combine proximity with comfort – guests are totally immersed in the action but don’t have to contend with the crowds in the pit. It’s the best of both worlds. Sections 101 to 105 in the front half of the seating area offer the best views. However, you really can’t go wrong with any seat, thanks to the elevated tiered design and wide viewing angles of the main stage.

Middle level

The middle level includes sections 201 to 207 – prime real estate for guests who want to enjoy live music on a budget. Center seats are the most desirable with consistently good views. Seats right at the edge of the rows may have partially obstructed views. You’ll also find accessible seats here in section 202, row WC.

Upper level

While the furthest from the main stage, the upper level still provides guests with a memorable experience, especially as it’s uncovered – yes, you’ll be exposed to the elements, but that only adds to the excitement! The upper level in an amphitheater is similar to the balcony section in a traditional theater, providing the height to appreciate the overall performance, stage design, and choreography. On the flipside, you may miss finer details.

Accessibility

Accessibility is one of the amphitheater’s core values – the venue is dedicated to creating spaces and experiences that everyone can enjoy. Every step of the customer journey has been designed with inclusivity in mind, from browsing the website to viewing performances.

Accessible seating can be found in the pit and section 202, row WC. These areas have been specifically chosen to accommodate people who cannot climb steps or walk long distances due to physical, respiratory, circulatory or cardiac conditions. Guests can purchase up to three companion seats with every accessible seat.

If you have special requirements, speak to the box office prior to the performance. The team can assist with sign language interpretation services and audio listening equipment.

We’ll discuss seating in more detail shortly, but rest assured there are plenty of accessible seating areas for wheelchair users and their companions. Guests can also find accessible parking spaces outside the entrance and accessible restrooms in the plaza breezeways and to the right of the main stage.

While service animals are permitted inside the amphitheater, pets and emotional support animals are not allowed. Animals should remain in the owner’s seating area at all times – not in a neighboring seat or aisle.

Lastly, The Amp will provide sign language interpretation services to guests, subject to availability. For any other special requests, contact the events team in advance so they can make the necessary arrangements.

  • » On-site parking near the main gate

Which is the best ticket to choose?

So, which is the best ticket for you? Ultimately, it depends on the type of experience you want. The pit is usually the liveliest area, so perfect if you want to dance and mosh with friends. In contrast, tiered seating prioritizes comfort – sit back, relax, and enjoy live music with the beaches of Anastasia State Park in the distance.

The upper level is best for guests on a budget, while the lower levels are covered and slightly more expensive. If money isn’t a consideration, the lower level and center middle level offer undisturbed views while being close to the action.
