The set brought the band’s self-titled debut album back into the limelight with “Lost In My Mind,” “Ghosts,” “River and Roads,” and “Down in the Valley.” Meanwhile, their number 1 efforts, Let’s Be Still, Signs of Lights, and Living Mirage were also brought into the spotlight with performances of “All We Ever Knew,” Let’s Be Still’s “Another Story,” “Shake,” “Honeybee,” and “Missed Connection.”
Hailing from Seattle, Washington, The Head and the Heart emerged in 2009. Musicians Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell recruited band members Charity Rose Thielen on violin, Chris Zasche on bass, Kenny Henseky on piano, and Tyler Williams on drums. In 2011, they dropped their self-titled debut album and sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S., earning a gold certification. The effort peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Folk charts and also entered the Billboard 200 and Top Rock Albums. After a stellar debut, the band moved on to release several more albums. Their subsequent efforts, Let’s Be Still, Signs of Light, and Living Mirage, all topped the Folk charts and entered the Top 20 of the Billboard 200. By 2016, the band has signed with Warner Bros. Music and has released three albums with the label since.
Last year, The Head and the Heart released their latest album, Every Shade of Blue. The record spawned several hit singles, “Virginia,” “Tiebreaker,” and the phenomenal title track, which received wide critical acclaim. The band embarked on a series of support tours and headlining tours following the release.
