He’s among the world’s most prolific and legendary guitar players. Slash has been a fixture in mainstream rock music since making waves in the ‘80s with hard rock titan Guns ‘N Roses. However, fans also know that Slash has an exceptional love for blues rock. This 2024, the Grammy Award-winning guitarist is set to feature an all-blues line-up for his inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T Festival. S.E.R.P.E.N.T stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance – a mantra that Slash has lived by for years. Hence, the legendary performer uses the power of music to spread great positivity across the U.S. and Canada.
Besides his fantastic work with Guns ‘N Roses, Slash has pursued a phenomenal solo career. In 1995, he launched The Slash’s Snakepit and belted out two extraordinary studio efforts. Slash has also extensively toured and recorded music with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators. In addition to these side projects, Slash has also released his self-titled debut solo album in 2010. This 2024, he’s finally following that up with a much-anticipated sophomore album, Orgy of the Damned. The new effort features outstanding tracks with a slew of guest performers, such as Chris Stapleton, Iggy Pop, and Chris Robinson, to name a few. The Grammy Award-winning band released their debut effort, Kin, in 2014 and moved on to release six more highly acclaimed works, including their Grammy-winning latest album, Blood Harmony. Solo artist ZZ Ward made a breakthrough in 2012 upon the release of her debut album, Til the Casket Drops. After her significant commercial success, she followed with the sophomore effort, The Storm, which topped the Blues chart. ZZ Ward is currently promoting her latest album, Dirty Shine. Lastly, Robert Randolph, a purveyor of gospel, blues, country, and more, will demonstrate his remarkable versatility.
