Emerging in 1996, Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) has established itself as one of the most influential alternative bands. The group basically laid the foundation of what would be the uprising of indie rock bands during the early 2000s. In 2005, O.A.R. found mainstream success with the release of their fifth album, Stories of a Stranger. The record became their first work to enter the Billboard 200, peaking at number 4. The album also has incredible hits, such as “Love and Memories” and “Hear the World.” By 2008, O.A.R. had released the phenomenal hit “Shattered (Turn the Car Around),” their first single to enter the Billboard Hot 100. The single later earned the band their first platinum certification, making it their career-defining release.
This 2024, O.A.R. will be heavily promoting their latest album, The Arcade, which spawned singles “Alive” and “In the Clouds.” In 2023, O.A.R. also collaborated with fellow alternative band Goo Goo Dolls for the single “I Won’t Back Down.”
