JJ Grey & Mofro at St Augustine Amphitheatre

HOT OFF THE REELS… the iconic JJ Grey’s Blackwater Sol Revue is returning to the esteemed St. Augustine Amphitheatre on 24th - 25th May 2025 by popular demand. Presented by Live Wildly, the 2 day music bonanza fuses soul, rock, and blues. JJ Grey will be headlining the festival alongside his incredible band Mofro. Since his debut album, Blackwater, arrived in 2001, JJ Grey has been issuing deeply moving and masterfully penned, funky rock and front porch Southern soul smash hits. Joining the iconic star on stage is the undeniably talented 49 Winchester, The White Buffalo, John Anderson, Andy Frasco & The U.N., The Marshall Tucker Band, as well as Huntley. “We can’t wait to come together again under the beautiful Florida sunshine alongside this incredible lineup!,” JJ Grey & Mofro announced.

JJ Grey burst onto the music scene with gigs at a Jacksonville bar. And as his fanbase grew, he joined forces with the band, Mofro. Together, these powerhouses have released ten stunning albums, performed in venues and festivals around the globe, and made a name for themselves for their completely unique take on music. In 2024, the group dropped their tenth album, Olustee, to great acclaim. The NPR review said the album was "A deeply-rooted blend of southern-fried rock and swamp funk…richly evocative lyrics…plainspoken, blue-collar American music."

On Sunday 25th May, John Anderson will be making a highly anticipated appearance. The Florida native country singer is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame for a reason. Time and again, he captivates audiences around the world with hits like "Wild and Blue," "Black Sheep," and "Straight Tequila Night." Inspired by legends like The Rolling Stones and Merle Haggard, John Anderson kickstarted his career in the seventies and etched his name on the Billboard charts with "I've Got a Feelin'." Over the years, he’s worked with heavyweights like Waylon Jennings and John Rich - just to name a few! And now he’s returning to the stage alongside the legendary JJ Grey & Mofro.
