JJ Grey & Mofro at St Augustine Amphitheatre

Back by popular demand, the legendary JJ Grey’s Blackwater Sol Revue is returning to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on 24th - 25th May 2025. Presented by Live Wildly, the two day music festival combines soul, rock, and blues. The North Florida sage and soul-bent swamp rocker, AKA JJ Grey, is headlining the festival with his awesome band Mofro. Since his first record, ‘Blackwater’, landed in 2001, JJ Grey has been dropping deeply moving and masterfully inked, funkified rock and front porch Southern soul tunes. And now you get to experience all the magic LIVE!

Joining the iconic star is a pool of talent, including 49 Winchester, The White Buffalo, John Anderson, Andy Frasco & The U.N., The Marshall Tucker Band, and Huntley. “We can’t wait to come together again under the beautiful Florida sunshine alongside this incredible lineup!,” JJ Grey & Mofro said.

JJ Grey kickstarted his musical career playing at a Jacksonville bar. And as his audience expanded, he added the band, Mofro. Together, JJ Grey & Mofro have issued ten breathtaking albums, played in venues and festivals around the world, and made a name for himself for his own signature brand of music. Last year, the ensemble released their tenth album, Olustee, to critical acclaim. The NPR review said the record was "A deeply-rooted blend of southern-fried rock and swamp funk…richly evocative lyrics…plainspoken, blue-collar American music."

On Saturday 24th May, 49 Winchester will be making a highly anticipated appearance. Combining Appalachian folk with country and rock ‘n’ roll, 49 Winchester has mastered a sound that bridges classic and contemporary. Hailing from Virginia, the band includes Isaac Gibson on guitar and vocals, Chase Chafin on bass, Noah Patrick on pedal steel, as well as Bus Shelton on guitar. Racking up over a million fans on streaming platforms like Spotify, this awesome band is best known for their chart-climbing hits, "Annabel," "Russell County Line," and "Everlasting Lover."
