For more than 60 incredible years, The Beach Boys have disrupted the music scene with their pioneering "California Sound". The group formed in 1961 and it now comprises of Brian Wilson (vocals, keyboards, bass), Mike Love (vocals, percussion, saxophone, Electro-Theremin), Al Jardine (vocals, guitar, bass), and Bruce Johnston (vocals, keyboards, bass).
Just two years after forming, The Beach Boys snagged their first national hit with "Surfin' U.S.A.," which kicked off a series of hits reaching the coveted number one spot of the Billboard 100 charts.
Over the years, The Beach Boys have created a distinctive sound that rises from the influences of earlier pop vocal groups, 1950s rock and roll, and black R&B.
