Adam Sandler’s tour may be a short trek, but it's regarded as the year's most anticipated stand-up comedy tour. The show features Sandler’s unique stand-up style, including several musical performances. Sandler, a commercially-successful actor, producer, and comedian, is responsible for beloved films, such as The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Don’t Mess with the Zohan and many more. But before scoring starring roles in these major films, Sandler was already an accomplished comedian. In 1987, Sandler performed stand-up sets in local comedy clubs. He also scored his first starring role as Smitty on the Cosby Show. During a stand-up set in Los Angeles, Sandler was discovered by legendary comic Dennis Miller. He later introduced Sandler to the producers of Saturday Night Live, where Sandler was hired for the next few years.
After his stint with Saturday Night Live, Sandler went to star in several more films, such as Coneheads and Airheads. He worked alongside equally iconic comedians, including David Spade, Steve Buscemi, and Chris Farley. Starting in 1995, Sandler began his streak of what would be his signature comedy style with Billy Madison, followed by Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Little Nicky, and Big Daddy. Apart from comedy, Sandler has been known to take on a few drama roles for films, such as The Meyerowitz Stories, Hustle, and Uncut Gems.
Sandler received numerous accolades for his exemplary work, including four Pretine Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe Award nomination, two Critic’s Choice nominations, and nine Golden Raspberry Awards. In recent years, Adam Sandler released his first stand-up film in more than two decades, 100% Fresh. The film was part of Sandler’s multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, which includes several feature films.
